Aerial Waves

Aerial Waves is a spatial installation created in collaboration with Wahlberg Motion Design. The installation consists of a 4x6m blue parachute textile acting as a dynamic, interactive ceiling in a concert venue of Sydhavnens Festival in Århus, DK. The installation builds on the highly industrial expression of the site through visual machinery and rough materials. 

Aerial Waves is exhibited on Sydhavnens Festival and Aarhus Festuge 2025.




A grid of twelve kinetic winches was deployed to allow highly organic animations of the textile.


A kinetic VJ Booth offered visitors to animate the ceiling during activities within the venue .



A simple 3D rendering was displayed to support exploration of the simple interaction: Right and left hand generates slightly delayed waves of motion down throughout the textile.
